On behalf of donor companies in the DonationMatch network, the following are verified when you create a nonprofit profile:

• Organization Exempt Status: Only organizations recognized as exempt by the IRS (U.S.) or a Registered Charity or Qualified Donee by Canada Revenue Agency (Canada), as well as in “good standing” with applicable state agencies as required by law, are eligible to receive donations through DonationMatch. If such status cannot be established through publicly-available information online, additional documentation will be requested.

• Your Role: Your identity and ability to use the nonprofit organization’s EIN or BN to solicit donations will be verified. If your email address does not match the EIN or BN organization’s website URL, please provide in the “Organization Email” field a staff email address that matches the nonprofit website OR one that can be found there to authorize you.

• Website: A live, working website is required to enable donors to research your organization’s events, programs, marketing, and leadership when making decisions. A Facebook page or listing on a third-party site is NOT sufficient. Please ensure the website URL you provide loads properly before submitting your application.
